to name but two dictatorships

I has become fashion to slag off the U.S.A
This country has come to our aid many times
in fact we have just paid the final instalment
of the "lend lease" agreement that supplied
us with vital supplies required to defeat the
enemy in the 1940's

We in the "free world" are a long way off
being perfect there are problems with curruption
etc but in theory you can be elected and make
a difference this will take a lot of hard work
but democratic society is like that.

The world is far from perfect and I am not
niave to the capitalist system

but we have a voice and a way of questioning
things if we are not happy without fear of our
family going missing

I doubt Saddam or Kim Jong Il have come away with as much nonsense as Dubya. The lend release was a disgrace really when you consider what Germany got away with in the Marshall plan. So it's worth not getting too caught up in the 'special relationship'.
