Do you think that another ref may have sent players off for the so called fight at the Rovers game today
Nah, too many involved and no fists or slaps thrown. Besides Mark Hughes started it really. Personally I was happy to see a bit of passion, at least it shows that the Toon players are starting to get riled up. More of that please!

Pat van den Hauwe squaring up to Stuart Pearce at White Hat Lane. It took took players from both sides as well officials on the the touchline to separate them.
Gary Mabbett had a broken cheekbone bestowed on him by John Fashanu at White Hart Lane. The Tottenham players steamed in and then Vinny Jones decided to poke his oar in.
I would have loved to have seen the outcome from that classic photo of Dave McKay grabbing Billy Bremner by the shirt.
And what about the ‘assault’ on van Nistelrooy by the Arsenal players a couple of seasons back.
Going back a few year now Shanks, I remember the Liverpool legends and hard men Tommy Smith and Ron Yeats. Few players could get past either of them without suffering a bruise or two.
One day a player was having a particularly good game against Smith and as they came out for the second half, Smith reportedly went up to him and said “ If you go past me again, I’ll break your fukcing legs”
Needless to say the player didn’t have the success he had in the first half.
Still think Bowyer versus Dyer was the funniest I ever saw. Fancy attacking your own player - shocking!:yikes:

Yeah that was well funny. He was a funny character, old Brucie. Used to do the wobbly with his legs when players took a penalty :nodyes:
