All the hype of promotion seem to be waring away now as you've drawn another game and things seem to be looking dark....
As much as I like Leeds I think this one may just be slipping away. What are your views? Can they still make the play-offs?

With eight games left to play, I think they can, but they'll need a bit of luck. They're playing like a team who will get in the play-offs.

Well they've played well for the majority of the season and IMO its only fair that they go up.

They can still make it but I think the beginning of the season buzz/need to prove to everyone that they can do it has kind of worn off. Yes, if they hadn't had the 15 points taken off them they'd have been second in the league but they've definitely let their standard of play slip, and, if they've played other games as poorly as they played in both games against Pools, then it's no wonder. It would be good to see them in this league for a further season to see how they get on when we all head off at the beginning of the league with 0 points.

I think they will get the play-offs but not the Automatic promotion spot. That is asking a bit too much considering there form has dropped a lot since the start of the season. Hopefully though, they will get promoted and they will one day be back in the Premiership getting a kicking from Middlesbrough on the last day and we will send them back down haha.
For making Juninho cry!!!

If not they should be. I think it's an injustice them losing the 15 point's.I wonder if they would have had them deducted had they been a London club.

Yes, high court hearing next month.
I wouldn't put any money on Leeds making the p-o's. We haven't played consistently well all season.
If we get points back at the hearing, well we will make the p-o's, without any points back it will be very difficult looking at our remaining fixtures.
We didn't play well yesterday, our defending has been naive in many games this season.

so getting punished for a breach of rules is an injustice?
almost as daft a comment as kamara on rotherhams 10 point deduction compared to leeds 15 (obviously for the same thing:S)

Your comments against Leeds prove your own personal opinion about Leeds as a whole. What justified that 15 point deduction I would never know ; none of us would. Me thinks you just dont want them in the Championship, which, IMO is a league behind the one they're supposed to be in.

their deduction was fair- they broke rules and had to be punished. anyone who can't see that needs their heads checking

Like I said in a previous thread... it seems that the start of the season was a big buzz for them because they were expected to get automatic promotion being a "big" team and all that crap, and, had they not had the 15 points deducted, they'd be 2nd or 3rd in the league now but the point is that they have had the 15 points deducted and it seems once they got up there with the successful in League One, they kind of let themselves settle and now they'll be stuck in this league for yet another season only this time there'll be no big hype to boost them up.
Also, at the start of the season when Pools visited them, I said they had perhaps two or three players who were the complete glue of the team and without them they'd be fcuked for the whole season. It seems even the glue has came apart for them now! Though I think it's at last showing them for a team of what they are and perhaps losing a few points will get them fighting again.
some day they will be back where thy belong and thats a fact

It is indeed fact, we are in a league at the moment that we deserve to be in.
If we stay in this league and Southampton are relegated into it. But if the fixture list next season brings a Tuesday night fixture of Southampton v Leeds United, it is a fact that I will be there. :nod

Not sure where they belong,The points deduction has a lot to do with it. But they are More worthy of a prem place, based on stature, than the likes of wigan, reading etc.

If a team is in League One, it's because they deserve to be. Yes the 15 points played a big part, but if they were up top, they'd not even mention the 15 points and they'd be smug as anything.

Their fan base has nothing to do with it! If I get 45,000 supporters for Pools, please can we move to the Prem? I didn't think so either. It doesn't work like that and everyone knows it. If a team manages to slip into League One then they should be in League One and that's where they belong until they prove otherwise, just like any other team. I mean...
Lets take a look at Southend. They have a big fan base... even when they were in League Two their fan base was big. Should we say that they deserve to be in the Championship because of their fans? Methinks not.

what fanbase- they have more in now because prices have been lowered, watch as the price goes up and they stay down how many decide not to bother with it
in fact, it's already starting to slip- looks like black swan should be looking closer to home before trying to abuse fans of other clubs (not that that'll stop him- he doesn't seem to understand logic and common sense)

Ding ding... round two. Black Swan, if you're going to have digs at other members of the forum, without doing it in a fun, banter kind of way then please don't complain when someone else does the same to you and you both get a warning. Just telling you before you have the cheek to report a post when this thread gets out of hand, YET AGAIN!!! because of chidlish bickering.
W4L, you have a good point that the prices are lowered and so more fans would attend, however, Leeds have had a big fan base for some time.

All of you just wrap in. Jonesy, it's not worth getting into an argument with either of them. You like Black Swan but some on here don't, myself included. You don't like W4L but I do... fact is, both Black Swan and W4L argue with each other like little kids.
W4L is referring to Black Swan as Black Swan clearly had a stab at W4L for not going to a match because it was on a Tuesday, having done this about 20 times, without exaggerating, and so I can understand where W4L is coming from with his frustration. However, W4L should learn not to bite, as that makes him just as bad.
All of you just quit your childish bickers and stupid whining with each other.

You're wrong. I don't dislike anyone on this forum. I have no reason to. I've said before I love people who have the strength to air their opinions regardless, Wed4life included. I've argued with both him and Swan on here and thoroughly enjoted it!

I hope I haven't given you the impression I don't like you. I don't always agree with you but at no level do I dislike you. The only reason I say what I do is that because your disagreements with Swan sound more and more personal. If he was here I'd tell him the same. If you insist on biting and snarling at one another it's no skin off my nose, just thought I'd let you know how it looks from my perspective.

Jonesy, from everyone's perspective, regardless of whether they like or dislike either of the two, it looks childish, it's getting old and boring and is ruining what-could-be decent threads. End of.
