Newcastle haven't won a game since December 12th. This has to be their worst ever run and one of their lowest league positions for a long long time.

If they don't manage to win tonight then Kevin Keegans job May well be on the line, he has done nothing and he doesn't look like he can motivate the players. So much for the messiah eh!

<!--more-->Newcastle are sitting only 4 points from Relegation with only Sunderland sitting in between both clubs

15 Newcastle (28 pts)
16 Sunderland (27pts)
17 Birmingham (26pts)
===================
18 Bolton (25pts)

If Newcastle win tonight they will be doing their close neighbour Sunderland a big favour seeing Birmingham are a point below Sunderland and 2 points below Newcastle. Its very very close and even Middlesbrough could be dragged into this as they are only 3 points behind Newcastle.

Kevin Keegan has been quoted as saying "<strong>We are a big club, we are in a position a lot of people think we shouldn't be in but the reality is that we are there</strong>". I don't know what world he actually lives in as Newcastle are not a big club, they haven't won anything for a long time. You are a big club when you have won stuff and not just by the size of your support.

Birmingham will be wanting to put last weeks heavy defeat behind them and tonight will be a perfect chance to get away from the relegation zone. Will they be able to get a result like they did against Spurs? Only time will tell, I'm really looking forward to this match.

Kicks off at 8pm GMT tonight.

I'm hoping for a draw for this game to keep Boro safe for now. It should be a good game. No vbookie for it?

It will be an interesting match, a do or die scenario.

Although, Newcastle did this to themselves. The sacking of big Sam was a mistake. He may not have been producing the big club feel, but he would have certainly keeped Newcastle out of this predicament.

FYI, vbookie here: http://www.myfootballforum.com/showthread.php?t=10286

This is a tough one to call but I think it's only a matter of time before Newcastle get a win and it could possibly be against The Blues.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Newcastle to win 2-1

I think Birmingham are going to win this. A draw would be good for Reading f.c. But id love to see Newcastle go down....
