His opponent doesn't seem much cop, but has never been stopped, and is ranked world no.2 by the WBO, so it'll boost Khan's rating.

Presumably Amir will give him a systematic thumping, and hopefully stop him in say, six rounds.

ITV Saturday at the nice time of 9.15.

yeah i'm looking forward to this, i think now that Kahn has been on the canvas, he is slightly less cocky than he used to be, and will be more destructive

It's all getting rather interesting in that division now. Seems to be opening up for Khan.

Well fight fans, non-gays, and non-Islamophobes, there's been quite a bit of activity in the lightweight division of late: Nate Campbell pulled off a shock win against top man Juan Diaz, and old man Casamayor stopped young overrated Aussie banger Katsidis in 10 rounds.

Tonight on Setanta Thaxton fights Romanov for the European Title - so if Thaxton should somehow win, the match with Khan could still come off. Khan would of course make mince meat out of him.

The new WBO/WBA/IBF World Champion Nate Campbell has called out our boy Amir, calling him a big fraud, and he wants to come over here and sort him out.

That's fighting talk, Frank should be able to sort out a deal and get it on, sometime in about six months.

Khan's June 28 fight is in Vegas, on the same bill as the David Diaz v Manny Pacquiao fight (same division).

Presumably both fights will be on telly.

Lovely.

Apparently the Khan fight is in Birmingham. Alex Arthur moving up would be a great match - nice bit of Jock tw*tting.

Apparently he's having trouble making the weight.

He's up against Micheal Gomez tonight isn't he? He can be very good if he's in the right mood, but I can't see Amir Khan losing.

I was a bit shocked that Gomez got the fight - backward step for our boy Amir. But Frank will have his reasons - like this is the last fight in his contract with ITV. :tt2:

Funny there's a film coming out soon of the life of Gomez.
