This is obviously the team that has risen from the ashes of Scarboro . Like Aldershot .... they will find it a long road back . It has taken Aldershot 16 years to get back to the football league .

The problem with teams below the conference is that they obviously have no money and so the players normally have a full time job plus footie so they're not getting the full oomph of training etc and they're not getting enough money to live on from their club to have it as their full time job to get the team back into a league.

You can say it's such a shame but at the end of the day, if it wasn't that team, there'd be another team replacing them. Just the way it goes unfortunately.

my brother played against them this year for pontefract- they're a long way behind the top teams at that level, and that level is 3 teams short of a full league. it'll be a long climb if they were ever to make it

Totally agree. Though I have to say when you're in a "league" that low, you play for fun and not for promotion etc really as it's barely anywhere near professional standards.

Aldershot dropped down a couple of leagues didn't they when they reformed ? Now look, they're back although took a few years to crack it.

True! I suppose if they're good enough they should get there eventually. They're just going to have to be patient and determined.
