As We are currently in the middle of a CL quarter final with Arsenal, I thought it would be fitting to start a thread in which games between 2 British sides played each other in Europe.
Just one game per post please & let someone post after you have another go.
Name the teams, the Competition, The Year and if possible the score & Goalscorers!

I'll start with the Obvious

The UEFA Cup final 1971-72 Wolves v Tottenham
Tottenham won the first leg at Molineux 2-1. Martin Chivers opened the scoring for Tottenham after 57 minutes. McCalliog equalized for Wolves on 72 minutes but Chivers added a second for Spurs 3 minutes from time.
Two weeks later Tottenham won the cup after drawing 1-1 at White Hart Lane with Alan Mullery scoring first for Tottenham in the 29th minute, before Wagstaffe equalized in the 40th minute. A crowd of 53,303 people watched Alan Mullery lift the Cup that night.

CL semi final 1-1 (Liverpool won on pens)
Daniel Agger cancelled out Joe Coles 1st leg winner at Anfield before Reina was the hero in the shoot out once again!

I can't remember too many classics, mainly because both teams know each other too well (just look at how boring some of the Liverpool Chelsea ties were, if tense).

Best one I can remember is Chelsea beating Arsenal at the bridge, Wayne Bridge scoring the winner, but can't remember too many others, just celtic beating manu...
