he's joined, there must be a way of getting the posts over here but for now all you can do is cut and paste.

nice one, i'll have a look. Do you think it'll slow the site down though?

the true blue you put for mod, isn't the real true blue.

Well you can import the individual tables from the backup to merge with the current database. Will take some effort but its do able.

You got to rip the forums table, posts table, user table and a few more essential ones (Can ask around at the VB forums) and then merge them with the current database.

I had it done on OSR once before, when the database was small it was easier.

yeah i've done the usertable and the posts before but that was with the same forums layout with each forum having the same id. For instance the announcements forum on here is forum 2. So if i somehow managed to find all the posts in what were posted in the announcements forum (ID 2) and moved them into the new database they would end up in a different forum, that in itself would be easy to solve.

But starting the forum again I would fear that some of the posts will have the same ID also, so they would be all merged together and would look a mess. I'm going to look into it as Hammer9 did put a lot of work into the Graphics forum.

yeah i'm just very very good with getting bad luck lately. Hopefully the new year will let MFF grow to be one of the best sites on the internet, for football fans to discuss their daily needs as a fan.
