We really need to fill in the blanks from 02:00am GMT till about 10:00 GMT where no one posts due to the forum being full of people from Europe.

We need to find a way of promoting the site and getting people aware that we exists. If we can fill this 6 hour gap i think it will drastically improve the post count.

If you have any suggestions please reply to this thread.

Whenever I'm on Yahoo Pool I tell people about the site (if we chat about football), maybe people can do that?

how about a post bot? I saw this on a forum I got from the big boards site. They use a post bot to create new postings bases on rss feeds from BBC, Yahoo, Foxsports news, etc. It kinda lame but it's something to think about.

Sounds like a good idea, we had a news feed on the old mff but nobody wanted to keep it lol. If there's a bot that you can talk with.........(like Alicebot)

I've had that before and people didn't like it. Or use it. I like them though.

If I am quoting from MFF on other football sites
I try to refer to this site with a link.

I am not sure if this will bring many members in
as you guys know I have been involved in a few
bust ups mainly with Celtic fans but it is a bit tame
on here that may not appeal to posters.

yes it is a bit tame on here, but its a good laugh, you wouldn't prefer to have people who hate you would you?

It would probably increase the post count like :)

You should consider that Football is the largest sport within Europe and not so popular in places such as America, i'm sure everyone is aware of this. It comes up on Google when you search for football forums so thats a plus.

I do link the forum to friends etc and when i'm on other forums.

thanks, i know its not that popular but there are American fans out there, who use a very busy forum.

this but when I was at work I tried to google MFF
but I could not find it for lots of other sites
I only got eventually because I remembered the

just tried google my football forum and we are right there
at number one
