I'm not the biggest fan. The Rifles supported though didn't they? They're quality.

No it's not lol. They have a friend called Steven Milburn and so they named their band after him.

The Milburn lads are very good mates with the Arctic Monkeys lads - it was Milburn who toured with them which made Milburn a "big underground" band.

To answer the question in the first post - No I didn't see their last gig in Sheffield. I'm not sure if it was their last gig or their second last gig, but they were supported by a Hartlepool band called Misled Heroes who I really dislike and so since I've already seen Milburn live supported by a much better band (Model Radio) I decided not to go

They were supported by the rifles in sheffield although they had a gig in scotland a couple of days earlier, don't know who supported them then.

More importantly though the Arctic Monkeys started off supporting milburn, if only the NME knew that...

Well it was the Scotland gig that Misled Heroes supported them then.

Me and the ball and chain were talking about Milburn and the people who've supported them - we said they're very unlucky actually as about four bands who've made it "big" have supported Milburn and Milburn have only ever made it big underground, including Arctic Monkeys and Reverend and the Makers and Pigeon Detectives.

I'd say so, yea. They got their big break at least.... everyone crazed over them when they brought out Heavy Weight Champion of the World for a second time... they were on the music channels constantly and a remix was made of the tune for some mixed dance CD like Cream.
