Former Tottenham player, Mido has apologised to Middlesbrough fans for being overweight last season. Mido, who weighed in at 15st 2lb has said he has lost two stone for the new season. Are you looking forward to seeing Mido in action? Do you rate him?

I've always thought Alves plays very well of him. Didn't get to see much of them together because he got injured and put the weight on. Whoever let him get that fat should be fired in my opinion. Apperntly hes been getting up at 6am every morning and getting fit with our new fitness coach.

I don't know if I rate him. I havn't really seen enough of him. Like I said though. It will be nice to have the option of another striker.

I see much of him because he has played at Ajax and Marseille, during the CAN I see him with Egypt.

Mido had a lot of talent but his spirit is very bad. He is a selfish person, he don't respect his partners. At the CAN 2006 he almost hit the coach because he doesn't want to be substitued. Mido like the night world and dont have a professional comportment.

In spite of a great talent, Mido never been a great player:

You're very right in what you say. Mido had one good season at Tottenham and then he was rubbish. I thought it was due to putting on weight and his injury. Anyway, we sold him to Boro and he was injured again. If he's lost 2 stone and is fit, you'll have a decent striker in your squad because when he first came to Tottenham he looked good.

to be honest.id play tuncay and alves ahead of him and maybe even allidiere. he should be a bench player at the most, but he isnt going to like that
