Conference leaders Dagenham & Redbridge claimed a 3-2 victory over Woking, Oxford stalled against Morecambe, while York hit five against Crawley Town.
Dagenham were forced to come from behind after Shaun Blackett put through his own goal in the fifth minute, and they did just that, as in-form Craig Mackail-Smith registered in the 13th minute.
Woking were, though, undeterred as Jason Pearce restored their advantage, only for Mackail-Smith to grab another equaliser six minutes later, the 38th of an entertaining half.
There was just one more goal after the break and it belonged to Dagenham's Paul Benson in the 76th minute.
While Oxford had to settle for a goalless stalemate against Morecambe, York were hitting Crawley for five in an impressive home display.
The Conference's hottest striker Clayton Donaldson was again on top form as he grabbed a double, the first a penalty, with Steve Bowey, Craig Panther and Craig Farrell also on target.
Joe O'Neill (28 & 89) grabbed a double as Altrincham had just about enough to see off Rushden & Diamonds, whose consolation came in the final minute from Lee Tomlin.
Southport were too strong for Grays Athletic as they secured a 3-1 victory that saw Ciaran Donnelly, Tony Gray and Carl Baker all on target, before Jamie Stuart responded for the away side.
Northwich were in fine fettle on their travels to St Albans in a 3-1 victory, which saw goals from Michael Byrne (14), John Allan (34) and Michael Carr (59) put them in cruise control, before Lee Clarke grab a consolation from the penalty spot.
Gravesend's game with Halifax was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch, with the away side leading at the time 2-1.
Altrincham 2 - 1 Rushden & D
Dag & Red 3 - 2 Woking
Oxford Utd 0 - 0 Morecambe
Southport 3 - 1 Grays Athletic
St Albans 1 - 3 Northwich
York 5 - 0 Crawley Town
