View Full Version : Manchester City v Watford
Come on you Hornets!
I've been abit of a follower of Watford this season, I've like their style of play and a few of their players. An 8pm kick off I think.
I think City have the home advantage on their side, with the crowd and their form at home too. But if Watford bring that resiliance they've had under Aidy Boothroyd, they might pull off a result.
Match thread is here :)

Im going, come on you blues, im hoping Samaras and Vassell will have a good game. It would be nice to go into Derby day with a nice win.
An hour gone and still 0-0, Watford seem to be up on the possession atm.
MANCHESTER CITY v WATFORD, 0-0 Mon 4 Dec 2006
Goalkeepers Richard Lee and Nicky Weaver picked up the plaudits as Watford picked up a creditable point away to Manchester City.
Lee - standing in for the injured Ben Foster - was particularly outstanding as he made a string of saves to frustrate Stuart Pearce's side, the pick of them a double save to deny Joey Barton and Bernardo Corradi.
But Weaver also impressed, particularly in the first half, and made arguably the save of the night to keep out Damien Francis' early header.
Tommy Smith's cross picked out the midfielder, but Weaver spectacularly clawed away his looping effort at full stretch.

it was an awful game from a blues perspective. Without eaver we would have lost that. I cant believe that free kick didnt go in. It had goal written all over it. It was freezing as well and i got drenched walking back to the car.
Good to see more bottom teams pick up some points, it puts more pressure on Charlton..
