Dunn deal hinges on medical

Bolton will complete the £1million signing of David Dunn from Birmingham if the player passes a medical at the Reebok Stadium.

Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to wrap up a deal for the 27-year-old who has had a nightmare on the injury front since signing for Birmingham from Blackburn Rovers.

The midfielder is keen to move back up north and Allardyce is hoping the player will come through his medical and complete a move to the Reebok Stadium within the next 24 hours.

Allardyce does not foresee any problems with the financial side of the deal but does have concerns over the medical.

"David had a very severe back problem a couple of years ago. That's been dealt with by surgery," Allardyce revealed. "Steve (Bruce) at Birmingham has decided to move him on for whatever reason and our concern would be the medical.

"After the medical, as long as the financial negotiations continue, we can get to a conclusion on that. I hope there's nothing from the medical side to stop this transfer."

Why David Dunn, Sam?? :undecided:

I like him, he's always been premiership quality, it's just a shame he kept getting injured. £1m is another Big Sam bargain imo.
