try this: disable System Restore and delete previous restore points (if using XP); then run anti-virus and anti-spyware software.. this may help

viruses and spyware may be stored there as well, so even if you clean your system and they can get hold of your system again.

Ad-Aware is good, i used to use it, but i've taken it off for some reason. But it doesn't stop or detect everything, its crazy that there are so many programmes which some spot some viruses but other miss them.

Maybe these companies should share their databases and then everyone will be protected the same. I know they would lose loads of money but hey, it would be a good move. :)

It really baffles me why people pay for paid-up protection - its not needed and its a waist of money that you don't need to spend

AVG i have used for the past 5 years and its all i need - it deals with everything a paid AVG would - because its free people think its not worth the download - i work at PC World and AVG is the tool used to clear infected computers

Anti-Virus software such as Norton and McAfee are charged at £50 a year for a licence - both are the biggest resource hogs going taking up tons of RAM - there not worth touching as they miss loads - why do you think shops give them away for free with a PC? - not because there great its because there shite and they can't sell them

If your going to look at paid software then look at cracks its easy - don't buy them
