BORO are set to add even more firepower to their awesome armoury after a deal was struck to bring Korean superstar Lee Dong-Gook to the Riverside.
Manager Gareth Southgate revealed tonight that Boro have come to an agreement with the 27-year-old's club, Pohang Steelers, subject to the granting of a work permit.
Although he has not played required 75% of competitive internationals for his country over the last 12 months, he has been injured for the majority he has missed.
Boro are therefore confident that the Home Office will look favourably on the application, which will be submitted early next week.
Lee is one of South Korea's biggest stars and his absence through injury from last summer's World Cup squad was a huge blow to their hopes for the tournament.
