Didn't know where else to post this but i'm trying to find some stuff out for Saturday but can't access most of the pages on your site so thought i'd ask you..

I'm sure it's your place with a pub on each corner of the ground, but just wondering which is the best that allows away fans in? And, is the terrace behind the goals still open to the away fans cause everytime I see highlights of your games, it's empty with tape cordening bits off?

Cheers!

1) There is a pub on each corner, if your not wearing colours (I guess you won't be judging what the weather's been like) you should be ok in all, (I recomend the Princess Royal which is on the corner of Ealing Road and Braemar Road.

The designated away fans pub is The New Inn on the the corner of Ealing Road and New Road. I find it bit boring going to away fans pubs personally because when you travel so far it's nice to mix with the locals.

2) Anyway the terracing is open if necessary but most teams don't bring enough to justify it's opening so I'm pretty sure Carlisle in January won't open it. It's a shame really because you don't get the same view from the seats in the corner and your far away from the pitch - but at least you can make a good noise.

Well done for making the trip...I thought I was crazy doing the reverse in December, but it's going to be absolutely freezing and maybe snowing! (So maybe your lucky the uncovered standing will be closed.

If you need any information just ask:thumbup1:

Cheers pal, looks like it will be cold so I probably will be wrapped up. Imagine there won't be many of us, maybe about 150 from Carlisle and then the London Branch on top of that, so about 300 hopefully!

You'd have to break into four figures to get the ealing road covered. I heard from someone I spoke to at Brunton Park that you have an incredible away support but a shit home support because people have to travel to BP, so instead they go to away games...

Although for us Carlisle is the glamour game (the furthest one), whilst every game is a long-distance one for you.

Enjoy the game! (But not the result hopefully)

Our home support has always been shit really, only 7,000ish most weeks. Towards the end of last season we got the glory hunters out though, where we got gates like 13,500. We averaged 1,100 last season away, this season 950 I think so far.

Thanks for the help anyways :thumbup1:

I heard you have a big london branch and could be bringing in the region of 400 fans.

Guess you've already left now...

Uhh.. it was a good day out but what a crap game it was lol. Bit like the fixture up our place, hardly any chances at all with 2 very mediocre teams. Think we may slip down the league and join you lot down there soon if we carry on playing as we are now. I was suprised we had just over 600 down there though:yikes:

You've got a big London branch though and if you think about it, the "catchment area" for Carlisle is huge because it is the only club for miles.

I can honestly say it was the worst match of football I'd ever seen. Ok the teams were awful but both were content on just hoofing it towards the new targetmen signings. The ref was abysmal too, he couldn't stop blowing his whistle, he wasn't biased, just stopped the game every five seconds. I saw the incident with Westwood and Kuffour and he was so pedantic, fair enough a foul, but their was no intent and Kuffour still had momentum. Whilst the chants about your keeper were very entertaining, and along with the streaker the highlight of the match, I don't think he did too much wrong, he went down which was fair enough and then got up quickly and shook hands with Kuffour.

At least at your place the two teams tried, albeit failed, to play football. I really feel sorry for everyone who travelled the country to see such an awful game. I'm glad I was standing up or I'd have probably gone to sleep it was that bad. No-one deserved to win although we probably had more chances. I can't really judge you because obviously I haven't seen many of your games, but the two I have seen were pretty poor. Still you can only play who's in front of you, and judging by your away record a draw isn't that bad for you. Although you should still be beating teams bottom of the league. Still you'll definitely stay up just because it's such a shit league.

I remember when we went to your ground all brentford supporters got upgraded on the train, on the way back just before Wigan to seperated us from the riff-raff as Chelsea had just played Wigan...did you have a good journey back?

Anyway the good news for you is that you'll never have to play us again.
