Got to be Red Bull New York because of the sponsor aspect.

Salzburg also changed their name to Red Bull a while back, which led to some of the fans setting up their own club a la AFC Wimbledon.

All the clubs with the daft names after them like 'rapids' or 'dynamo'. At least DC United aren't giving themselves a daft name. I even like Red Bull New York, mainly because I back the Red Bull F1 team.

The thing though at least with a name like Colorado Rapids or Chicago Fire is that it relates to it's surroundings. That's why when teams move a lot of the time the name doesn't make sense if they keep it. Like the Utah Jazz, they originally played in New Orleans, or the Los Angeles Lakers who were from Minnesota hince the name "Lakers". Red Bulls New York is the stupidest of the stupid because of the sponsorship in their name. I realize it's the company's name, but would you want to play for the Viagra Redwoods?

I chose Red Bull New York. It's sad when they sell themslves out just for a few more quid.

I'm also against the naming of stadiums after sponsors. Our new stadium (when built) will be called Conoco Stadium, sounds ridiculous.

yeah, originally they were supposed to be the Wiz, but then I think they had some issues with another organization of the same name...so they extended it...wiz is still pretty bad, but even that would have been an improvement over wizards

Real Salt Lake is probably the dumbest because "real" means royal in Spanish... And last time I checked there's no king of the United States.:boat:
