Taylor quits England U21's

Source: BBC Sport
Quote:
Peter Taylor has stepped down from his role as England Under-21 coach.
The 54-year-old was dividing his time between the under-21s and managing Crystal Palace, but said he wanted to concentrate on the Championship club.
"I can't do it anymore and devote my time to helping the team ahead of June's European Under-21 Championship in Holland," Taylor told BBC Sport.
Names being touted for the role include Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce and Southend manager Steve Tilson, who was asked by Taylor to help with preparations for the qualifier against Moldova last August.
As if Stuart Pearce would take up the job, but I suppose it could be along the path of becoming the first team Manager?

It must be awkward managing 2 teams at once and I can understand why he made that decision.

Not right to have it as a part time role. Taylor has missed Palace games and also England games because of this.

Apperently if Pearce does take the role his first priority is City. I dont get how he can do it really as one of the reason Taylor quit was to be more in control if you like at club level.
