I'm pretty confident of a good performance from the lads today, but i'm not sure on the outcome, more than likely it will be a Arsenal win and they are on fire at the moment, their main squad was rested during the week as they had the kids beat Spurs. If we can stop them scoring then we may have a chance but I can't see Arsenal not scoring at this time!!
Prediction: Middlesbrough 1 - 3 Arsenal
I'm not entirely sure what team Wenger will put out today. I just hope we don't go a goal down in 10 minutes and chase the lead for the whole game, 13 times thats happened now this season!
Were without Eboue, Diaby and Baptista, along with the other absentees, I do know that Denilson will play CM though.
good result for boro, although we had a few late chances to get a winner
Final score 1-1.
1st half went by with no goals either way, Arsenal with 9 attempts at goal with 2 on target and Boro with none at all.
2nd half, Yakubu got awarded a penalty after Senderos committed a professional foul and received a red card, Yakubu converted the penalty to make it any easy 1-0. However, under 15 minutes till full time, Arsenal pushed on the counter from a Lehman throw which was questioned whether he hand balled but the ref played on and Henry charged towards the Boro goal and slipped it in with ease.
Boro had a period where they constantly pushed on the Arsenal defense but didn't manage to get passed.
The game finishes even.

The 1st half was shit, the 2nd half was much better, we had a lot of opportunities but we just didn't finish any of them off. Lenehman kept the ball inside the penalty so there was nothing wrong there. Your goal was a good one, very fast counter attack, too quick for our defense. I think the draw was a good result for the game.
I though the sending off was correct but it happened just outside the box.

The ref was awefull today. For the 2 major offenses (Viduka's elbow and the 'penalty') he had it all wrong.
1. Viduka should have been sent off with a straight red. He looked, saw toure was coming in THEN put his elbow up and never even attempted to jump or win the ball. Straight red.
2. The contact on Yakubu happened OUTSIDE the box. And it was incidental. Senderos barely touched him for fuck sakes. It was a warning and a free kick at most.
I feel cheated in a way, you always do when there are very bad calls like that in a game. I feel with Viduka's sending off, or atleast seeing the second incident for what it was, incidental contact and nothing more Arsenal would have won the game. Now I feel cheated out of a full 3 points because the official made 2 backwards calls.

i missed the Viduka elbow incident so can't comment on it. As for Senderos, it was pro foul, outside the box, the red was rightfully given.
And Lehmann's questioned hand ball, the referee got that one right. The ball with his hand never went outside the box, his foot did but not the hand. Plus it was such a close call that the ref couldn't call it unless he was 100% certain.
Good comeback, but I expected and hoping for more from Arsenal today.

VIDUKA didn't deserve a yellow, he was using his arms to balance, he might have seen toure but he then looked away and continued to win the ball. NO WAY was it a yellow or even a red card offense.

Was a good point to get against arsenal, but why against a team like arsenal when you are one nil up is the whole bloody team in arsenals box for the boro corner...I said to my brother when we took the corner, arsenal are gonna score here, because Taylor was the only boro player back..
Still unbeaten this year, chelsea next come on boro :thumbup1:

pretty good result for Boro. Good result with Arsenal down to 10 as well.
Penalty, wrong. Outside the box.
Red card, right. Last man, he had to be sent off, its the rules.
Well done Boro, althought Whinger claims if Arsenal had full 11 they would of won... WTF will Senderos do? He is a load of shite :hahaha:
