Tottenham V Middlesbrough

Tottenham v Middlesbrough
Tottenham v Middlesbrough

White Hart Lane
Tuesday, 5 December
Kick-off: 2000 GMT
Coverage on the BBC Sport website & BBC Radio Five Live

Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas (ankle) will not feature, while Edgar Davids (eye problem) is out too.

Paul Stalteri returns to the squad but Mido and Anthony Gardner are injured and Hossam Ghaly remains suspended.

Middlesbrough will give late fitness tests to Abel Xavier, who has just returned from a long lay-off, and Jonathan Woodgate, who has been ill.

Mark Viduka could return from injury, but Chris Riggott (hamstring) and Andrew Davies (calf) will not figure.

Tottenham (from): Robinson, Cerny, Chimbonda, Dawson, Lee, King, Assou-Ekotto, Davenport, Huddlestone, Stalteri, Ziegler, Murphy, Malbranque, Tainio, Zokora, Lennon, Defoe, Keane, Berbatov.

Middlesbrough (from): Schwarzer, Jones, Xavier, Parnaby, Taylor, Woodgate, Huth, Pogatetz, Boateng, Cattermole, Downing, Morrison, Rochemback, Arca, Euell, Johnson, Mendieta, Parlour, Yakubu, Christie, Maccarone, Graham.

#
Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda:
"We now have two home games in a row and we can climb the league if we win them.

"It's good to have them so soon after the Arsenal game, I think we have to win them both.

"We take a lot of points at home, we play very well so I think even though we are struggling away we can still finish in the top six and qualify for Europe."

#
Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing on Tottenham's 3-0 derby defeat against Arsenal:
"They are going to be hurt by that. It is a massive game for them with the all the rivalry, and Martin Jol will not accept that.

"I would imagine they are going to come out all guns blazing - but so are we because we lost as well.

"It promises to be a good game and hopefully, we will get what we need, not them."

________________________________

Should hopefully be a good game. With Viduka a possibility for the game, I think we can win.

2-0 Boro

Tottenham have been playing well at home this season, i think that'll be the key. 2-0 Spurs win.

I left after our second goal, and I live right outside the stadium so I got home about 3-4 mins before the end of the game
