I've never lived up north or even outside of London, so I'm probably can't say which is better but apart from the fact I should support the South, I find the North has is a nicer place to be in terms of countryside and the people are more hospitable.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side, but the only good thing about the South is London, ok I'm biased but if your bored of London your bored of life.
I'd love to live in Newcastle sometime, best nightlife in the country supposedly, also I've always found geordies and people from the north east particularly friendly.

North is better because of prices, some things in london are a joke because of the price! and we have better accents! :D
Couldn't believe at Carlisle FC's "stadium" beer was £1.25 a pint before k/o.
At Brentford our pubs supposed to be cheap and it's something lik £2.60 for a pint!

stadium beer? is it there own brew or something if so thats why it was that cheap.
No it was the local bitter that they served in all the pubs. To be fair it cost £1.75 after k/o but still that's cheap.
Even as far south as Nottingham stuff is dead cheap, I'm hopefully going to university in Hull so looking forward to drinking cheap beer lol.
I didnt particularly like London. Infact, I dont really like cities much. Its always much to busy and everyone seems to be rushing about everywhere.
Coming from a town. I hardly ever see anything like that. I much prefer the quieter life :D

People in north are ugly, thick, Poor, They dont live very long, the smell bad and live in run down homes full of rats..They have old car parts in the gardens. And steal anything that isnt nailed down..

youre getting confused between the north and reading
I dont think the south is nice at all...London aint anything special, ive been down there loads of the times, and i dont like it..
North is way better and Cheaper...and we dont have the annoying cockney accents, thank fuck my parents moved me out of there as i arrived into the world :thumbup1:

better accents, are you having a laugh, north is cheaper and nicer people, but there's a lot more to do down south, especially in london, and it's mostly trying not to get shot

well theres another reason why its better up north, not as much gun crimes...:thumbup1:
We do have better accents, i dont like the geordie accent but i prefer it alot more than the annoying cockney accent...
i would say the north all the way. not because I am from the north-east but, its great up here. Middlesbrough is a fantastic place to live. Its not as bad as its made out in tv programmes. you only have to drive 15 minutes and your in picturesque country-side.
Well, living in London all my life, my opinion would be South. You always get the odd prat about but they can be dealt with. I prefer our accents to the Northern accent. Watching Corrination Street does my head in, along with Emmerdale.
London has ALL the best shops aswell and for me, thats vital. I don't think I could live in the countryside. The girls here are pretty decent too, aslong as you look in the right clubs, theres some tot!

personally ive had good times in both north and south,the most ignorant people ive come across have been north wales.

the north is far better. cheap beer, easy women and definitely better accents. cockneys sound like their bollocks haven't dropped yet, must be great knowing that most/all women have a deeper voice than you
