He's a fool, so to get rid of diving, he thinks it should be allowed. Is he stupid, the only way to get rid of it, is a panel to sit in front of a tv and watch all the incident of diving and fouls. Let them give a player a 1 match ban when they dive.

Then the cheats will stop diving, i'm really starting to not like football at the minute and i think a majority of people will think the same as me on this.

If you allow diving, why not allow hand balls in the box, tackles from behind and fights, obviously if they are allowed like jewel says, it will get rid of them, what an idiot.

What a stupid analogy. The idea of having 24 hour drinking was to stop trouble not stop there being drunks in the street.

If you allow diving you are publicly saying encouraging people to do it because you are allowing people to gain an advantage in a legal way. Sorry I forgot there already encouraging people to do it...

I think he's been mis-quoted or is trying to get media attention.

I think the analogy suggests that he had been drinking heavily for 24 hours.

letting players dive could solve it by supporters getting sick of their players doing it and booing them like the case with drogba, but I dont think its a good thing at all.

maybe he was being sarcastic.... or he could have been drunk :p

regardless it was dumb thing to say. The only way I see cutting down diving is to start at the youth level and hopefully in the future we won't see it as much. Of course this is only wishful thinking 'cause diving is here to stay, whether we like it or not.

they used to sit in front of tv's and punish player retospectively, i don't know why they stopped (unless fifa decided cheating was good for the game)

they couldn't hand out bans though- diving is only a bookable offence, add to the yellow card tally, although in ronaldos case it works out at a minimum of 2 yellows a game, so he could just get the ban (probably without even watching the game)
