Depending what happens in the next four weeks.

Becks on the right, Boy Genius on the left?

Yeah that could work, I was impressed with Beckham yesterday. The only problem is that McClaren would still have to play Lampard and Gerrard. Get rid of one of them and stick Carrick or Hargreaves in the middle alongside one of those two.

I think it was a mistake for Mclaren to say he has given him a selection "problem".

Aye, I know, but he was considering it at 1 point after he had wrote him off when he first took charge.

He won't recall him me thinks.. just for the reason that he has said that he won't recall him cause it will go back on his decision to drop him in the first place.

It takes a strong man to admit he was wrong. I think Beckham is well past his prime anyway. Time to give the younger ones a chance. Downing on the left, Lennon on the right, Hargreaves and Lampard in the middle.

I'd drop Gerrard because he keeps trying the long shots all the time which always end up in the stands rather than pass to someone who can get into a better position to shoot.

He's injured. Let's forget he ever existed eh.

How could he play for England (injury aside) when he'll be an honourary Yankee next season? We all know MLS is football's old-timers league.

The trouble is, England as a team, IMO has always relied on Beckahm too much (which isnt nescerserily (sp?) a bad thing) so now hes gone were struggling for options as we play the same style of play without him, which can only work if we have fantastic crossers, which we havent got.

I bet it's interesting to see his performance against Greece when England qualified for the World Cup and then watch one of his last matches for England.

He went downhill for the national side very quickly.

He needs to focus on the morale and ego's within his team before bringing dream boy back again.

To be brutally honest he hasn't really been in top form since maybe WC2002.
