View Full Version : Disciplinary fines
We had 6 players booked and one sent off today, according to the commentator it means we get a fine, but they were also adament that some of the cards shouldn't be given. Are we allowed to appeal against the yellow cards?
you can appeal all 6 booked and sent off! lol.
but im not sure if yellow card. i think only red card can appeal.:undecided:
That's a disgrace frankly. Their player (apparently) dived to win the pen and got one of our players s/o. Even if you don't want video evidence surely we shouldn't be fined for an opposition player cheated, especially when it's already cost us 2 priceless points.
Also they should look at the video and ban the player diving (if he did) for 5 games. It's disgusting and I'm not saying that just because I'm bitter I just can't believe the FA think diving is an acceptable part of our game

I'm afraid you can't appeal against yellow cards. Only red cards. If we allowed appealing for yellow cards, think how many appeals there would be lol.
There wouldn't be that many appeals, because you have to pay for them and also one yellow card is not that significant, unless it's the second yellow

no, they should add the booking to his disciplinary record, after all a red-card only gets 3 matches and a dive is a bookable offence, if the player got sent off after a dive thats worth an appeal but that still leaves the fine from 6 yellows (although you can ask the ref to look again and rescind yellows himself, we did it with steve maclean a couple of years ago against chesterfield)
too late now anyway
