Dagenham and Redbridge held on for a 2-1 victory against third place York in a much shortened programme of Conference action.
Eight sides sat the day out due to the FA Trophy, while the match between Weymouth and Woking was postponed due to a water-logged pitch.
Dagenham faced a tough prospect with the visit of York but Jonathan Boardman was on good form as he bagged a brace for the league leaders.
York then rallied and hit back on 62 with a goal by Neil Bishop, but it was not enough to stop Dagenham winning again.
Oxford held on to second place with a comfortable 3-1 victory over bottom side Tamworth.
Yemi Odubade (pictured) started the scoring early on before Robert Duffy made it two from the penalty spot. Tamworth did pull one back through Matthew Williams but Eddie Anaclet stopped any hopes of a fightback with a goal on 95.
Rushden and Diamonds fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point against Aldershot in a match that finished 2-2.
John Grant and Jonathan Dixon scored for the home side before Simeon Jackson and Anthony Charles brought Rushden back into the game.
Cambridge and Southport shared the points in see-saw match that finished 2-2.
The match got off to a flying start with two goals scored in the opening ten minutes. Robbie Simpson converted a penalty for Cambridge before Liam Blakeman levelled just six minutes later.
Mark Duffy then scored for Southport only to see Simpson score his second of the game and earn a point for Cambridge.
Exeter moved above Gravesend and Northfleet and York into third spot with a 3-0 win against Burton Albion.
Billy Jones and Richard Logan both scored from the penalty spot, and Adam Stansfield scored late on to give Exeter all three points.
Morecambe came from behind to beat Forest Green 3-1 and move into sixth spot in the Conference.
Green took the lead after ten minutes through Alex Lawless but could not contain Morecambe who hit back with goals by Paul Lloyd, Danny Carlton and Gary Thompson.
Stafford gave their hopes of survival a huge boost with a 3-0 victory against fellow strugglers St Albans.
The away side struck first through Craig McAughtrie before Neil Grayson wrapped the match up with a brace.
Aldershot 2 - 2 Rushden & D
Cambridge Utd 2 - 2 Southport
Dag & Red 2 - 1 York
Exeter 3 - 0 Burton
Forest Green 1 - 3 Morecambe
St Albans 0 - 3 Stafford
Tamworth 1 - 3 Oxford Utd
No problem for Dag & Red, they go up to League Two, follow with Oxford Utd but i hope York City.
