An Egyptian court has sentenced a blogger to four years' prison for insulting Islam and the president.

=============

This is a bit harsh, people should be able to say what they want on the internet within reason. But insulting islam does not deserve a jail sentance i'm sorry to say. Its just wrong, the internet should be used for people to view their thoughts without the risk of being sentenced to jail.

I'm sorry but people are taking this sort of thing over the top recetly. the internet was supposed to be "the only place where freedom of speech exists"

To be honest I think jailing him is pathetic, a warning at least would do.

Depends on the laws in that country no?

He has obviously broken the laws in that country hence punishment.
