View Full Version : Riquelme has left Villarreal?
I saw this on another forum and was surprised to read that he's moved to boca from Villarreal on a 5 month loan deal because of a bust-up. It never made the news here, I'm a big fan of his and I remember we were in for him before we nabbed Carrick.
Beatiful technique and balance and is just as good as Beckham at the passing and set-pieces. I 'm surprised a Premiership club didn't come in for him, weren't Newcastle looking at him a couple of years back?

I think he went back to Boca to get his 'spark' back. He hasn't been that good after missing that penalty against Arsenal in last years Champions League. Well that's opinion, but it could be due to other reasons too. :animatedfear:

I believe he had a bust up, he was a quality player and would love to see him in the premier league.

he is back at Boca Junior
& did quite well last week
he & pellegrini simply fell out & he took a lot of criticsm for his lack of form, thou he took too much stick for the whole villarreal team not playing well this season

that's abit unfair, i guess it's like the pressure that arsenal fans put on henry to perform and when he doesn't perform the team dont play aswell. they didnt qualify for the c.l this year which just makes the matter worse for him
I don't see why Villarreal should rely all on Riquelme, they have enough quality to do great things. i mean they got to the Champions league semis and missed extra time by a matter of class goalkeeping.
