Hello,
I wanted to gain feedback from any players - or parents who have children who play - to see if having cold and wet feet is identified as a 'not so enjoyable' part of playing in the winter. Or, if getting blisters is a problem during the warmer weather.
I am developing a waterproof / breathable football sock that will keep players' feet dry, and therefore warm, in the cold weather and dry, and therefore cool with less chance of blisters forming, in the warmer weather and wish to hear of your experiences in this area.
Many thanks
already been done by me, patented and copyrighted so dont bother yourself because I will sue.

I'd be interested to know more about it, as our patent searches have come up with no similar product.

dont think it will work, because my feet get more wet from sweating than rain,

Not looking to promote - asking football people for their thoughts.
If inappropriate to ask in this manner, then apologies.

I dont mind the wet its the cold i cant stand. I wear waterproofs big thick ski socks and rockport (im not a scally though) that does the job for me. My dad calls it the Manchester uniform.

Yes, they would also be breathable to wick sweat off the skin to the outer layers - so the foot will stay dry. The warm air generated by running around would be retained in the foot to keep it warm.

Thanks for that. The technology behind your product is very sound - some of the ski / hiking sock manufacturers refer to their products in similar terms (go to the Bridgdale site for instance). However, you can only go so far in the ability to waterproof - advising to wear a waterproof bootie over your product.
Our technology is for a sock that is both waterproof and breathable at the same time. It is a three layer system where the waterproof / membrane is effectively sandwiched between an acryllic outer and a wickable wool inner - so moisture is drawn off the foot and through the membrane to keep the foot dry; and the membrane prevents any groundwater from getting through from the outside. It is very comfortable to wear.
So, I'm afraid our waterproof / breathable football sock is distinctly different from what you have to offer but thank you for your thoughts.
