Well i'm on my brothers pc and he bought it last month as an upgrade for £10. He upgraded from windows media center which he bough for £30 :). I can't really see the difference yet, but i've not properly explored it yet, the only thing that looks different is the design of it.

I'm glad you can still choose the classic start menu. I love the classic menu. But i must admit the new type is growing on me now.

Does anyone else have Vista yet?

yeah ive had it for about 6 months or more, its ok, if your going to have it try and go for the ultimate version it has better backup and data protection and make sure you can have aero turned on nice little feature Windows Vista: Features Explained: Windows Aero (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/aero.mspx) you need a good graphics card though

Well he's upgrading his computer soon. They sent him two copies for some reason, so I might install the other one on my dads pc which is a higher spec and has a good graphics card. The windows Vista type is Home Premium.

Your best off buying a acedemic version of ebay, which is basically an upgrade and usually all you need to upgrade it is the original cd of a previous windows, probably just a windows xp disc.

I'm not going to bother getting Vista for another six months or so. There needs to be a few updates and patches before I'll trust using it.
