View Full Version : MFF 5 Years and counting

WOW!!
We have been on line for nearly 5 years. I started the forums on 17th March 2002 as just a little hobby. I would never have thought it would still be running to this day, especially with all the problems that have been thrown at us, some my fault and some not my fault.
We are constantly looking a head hence why i moved to a Private Virtual Host a few months back which gives the forum more freedom as we are not held down to limits on cpu and bandwidth, we have limits but they are big limits.
The past 5 years have been enjoyable to say the least and I hope the next 5 years will be a good 5 years. We are starting to get some great members on the forum now whom post regularly and I must thank you for this. Without the members these forums would not exist.
So what can we expect in the next 5 years?
Well the forum will probably outgrow this server so if we start to get thousands of posts per day we may have to move to our own dedicated server.
No doubt more members will become part of the staff, hand picked by the staff themselves as we don't accept request.
My aim it to reach 1 million posts by 2010, that will be achieved if we start to get over 900 posts per day. Yes we are only getting between 200-500 per day at the moment but I can assure you things will start to change soon. In the sense of more members and more posts.
The forums will always remain free with as fewer adverts as possible. We will keep the green style as this is a very "original" style which no other forum has.
So the future is still bright and for the people who are trying to put the site down all the time, all I can say is you'll be dying to get back onto these forums when they are thriving. I have big plans for the site and they are starting to come together. We will be adding more services to the site also but nothing is confirmed at the moment.
Please just continue to post on the forums and enjoy your time on the site.

I think I joined back in June or August last year and MFF has been a regular site I visit whilst on the computer.

Yeah we have been "hacked" a few times also. But we are stable now and have been problem free for 3 months since the restart.

No big deal mate...MFF was tops once. But bad admin and mods drove some of the best members away. BB Fooked the site up a few times and some ****** hacked it which didnt help...

Funny thing is, I emailed it to myself, ready to do it all... and the fucking thing won't open. :ranting: .... thing is, she can't chuck me off anyways, I've got top marks for coursework (these 4 pieces aside) and all the rest are lazy twats lol. I hate college so bad

Its not the best thing to do, not hand in 4 assignments. This is your future at the end of the day, sorry to lecture you :). But stick it out now and later on in life you will have a good job "hopefully".

Lol yea I did. And I don't need the lecture, they're drastically unreasonable. The full unit is out of 50, and there's 7 assignments in one unit. I've done 6 of the assignment and I've already got an A without even doing the last assignment. Thing is, they have 3 units going at once so when you get coursework, you get 2-4 pieces at a time and you're expected to hand it in within like 3 days. They're having a laugh. And yea, it is a good post about MMF's 5 years anniversary - there's always bad with good. Good = MMF 5 years... Bad = my college is a cock sucking cum bubble.
