Red Nose Day

I never support this as we need to start sorting out the problems in our country before we start to sort out problems in Africa and other countires. The government gives out hundreds of Millions of pounds woth of money to the developing world each year.

I may sound selfish but what are they doing with the money we give them each year? I bet the government take it from us and do nothing with it. Thats why Africa is in a state, their government are corrupt and they spend the money on themselves.

a percentage of it goes to the guy who runs Red Nose Day, you don't actually hear or see what they've done with your money and shown us how they've helped out the third world countries

I prefer the ones that they do for the UK, such as Children in Need ect. Atleast with the UK ones we know where the money goes.

When a year goes by, when we have all british kids living in clean homes with good food, old people being well looked after and no people living on the streets of our big citys..Then maybe il chip in..

RED NOSE DAY SUCKS ARGH!! First of all, I don't agree with the concept of red nose day. There's part of Africa that's rich as fuck, why the hell should we have to give money to them, especially seeing as Africa never improves, not matter how many hundreds of millions of pounds they recieve off Red Nose Day alone, without all other charity contributions (Despite the high percentage that our stinking government take from that) But, college supported Red Nose Day so we all did gay things like busking with red hair and dying hair blue and red and the same old shit really, which was get-overable.

But, then....

I came home, couldn't be bothered to cook, so just made tuna mayo pasta with salad... Goes to open the tuna, and the fucking tin pops all over my lovely, way to expensive coat, which can't be washed by the way. Then, I put the pasta in the pan, go to get the mayo and there is none. So... I legs it to the shop to get some mayo, and come back to eat it, and actually not even enjoying the pissing thing!!!

Then, I get a bill in from T Mobile twats for £60 when my contract ended two months ago.

And just to top the day off, me and my sister have an argument .

Sorry for the rant! I needed stress relief... aaaand calm!

Well you'd have thought it would have done a lot to help, but I don't see any changes. There's still thousands of people with AIDS and still families of 8-12 people in Africa when they know fine fact they're going to die by the age of 20, if that. You'd have thought with the hundreds of millions of pound thats donated to Red Nose Day alone, a form of long-term clean water supply and contraception would be sorted by now, for parts of Africa at least. I mean, what does Africa do to help itself? NOTHING.

Well, the fact is that there are millions of kids dying from horrible dieseases out there without treatment. I think that's worth some money.

Let's not forget, many of their problems are because of countries like ours.

I'll give it to another charity helping them though, don't want to massage the egos of these celebrities doing their very little bit.

I think we owe it to countries like Africa, the Europeans invaded them and left the natives in bits. And if 3/4 of the population are starving and dying from certain diseases, I think that would somewhat prevent them from helping themselves.

Red Nose day is a reminder to give money to 3rd world countries, its maybe the only day of the year for the majority of us to actually give to a charity supporting people in 3rd world countries. Its there governments that prevent any progress within there country, I'm sure if presidents like Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe were got rid of and someone sensible was put in charge they'd actually make progress.

The Red Nose day funds communities within the UK to help make them better too, its not all spent on 3rd world countries...

How are their problems caused by countries like ours? Did we make them have sex andhave big families which they can't feed or care for? No I don't think we did. The money that goes into Africa goes straight to their government and thats as far as it goes.

Western companies rip off African farmers, workers, etc. That's why our goods are so cheap, and why many people in Africa can't afford the basics.

We gave them aids, the most common and most deadliest disease out there, thats what WE caused.
Think about it, there going to have big families in order to help out when there dying of disease, help support each other when there parents eventually die of malaria or other types of disease.
