Conference round-up

Runaway leaders Dagenham and Redbridge moved further clear of the chasing pack with a 2-1 win over St Albans on Tuesday night.

After Leon Archer had given the Saints a shock lead, the table toppers battled back to take the points thanks to goals from Paul Benson and David Rainford.

The Daggers now find themselves 11 points ahead of second-placed Oxford, who were beaten 1-0 by a late Simon Russell effort at home to Kidderminster.

York City, now just a point back of Oxford, continued their good away form with a 5-0 thumping of lowly Cambridge United.

Clayton Donaldson ended a seven-game goal drought in style with a hat-trick at the Abbey Stadium, while Craig Farrell and Janos Kovac were also on target for the Minstermen.

Stevenage battled back from conceding an early goal to boost their play-off ambitions with a 3-1 success over bottom club, Southport.

John Nurse cancelled out Paul Tait's 25th-minute opener before Mark Beard put Borough ahead in injury time. The points were wrapped up when Mark Birch put through his own net.

Stafford Rangers eased their relegation fears as David McNiven's hat-trick secured a 3-1 home win over Gravesend and Northfleet, whose consolation came from Alex Varney.

Altrincham are another side climbing the table after Colin Little secured them a 1-0 victory away at high-flying Morecambe.

Aldershot and Woking played out a 2-2 draw that also saw the away side have defender Gary MacDonald sent off.

Daniel Webb and Craig McAllister twice gave Woking the lead only for the hosts to answer back through Kirk Hudson and John Grant.

There were also plenty of goals at Weymouth, as the home side edged a five-goal thriller against Crawley thanks to James Coutts' injury-time winner.

Anthony Scully and Scott Rendell had twice pegged back Weymouth, who netted through Stuart Beavon and a Magnus Okuonghae own goal.

Grays remain inside the relegation places despite Gavin Grant's effort giving them a 1-0 win over Tamworth, who are also still in the drop zone.

And finally, Halifax's home clash with Rushden and Diamonds ended in a goalless draw.

Altrincham 0 - 3 Oxford Utd
Crawley Town 1 - 1 Cambridge Utd
Dag & Red 1 - 1 Forest Green
Exeter 1 - 0 Morecambe
Gravesend 0 - 0 Burton
Southport 0 - 1 Weymouth
Tamworth 1 - 0 Halifax
Woking 1 - 1 Stafford
York 0 - 0 St Albans

ooh! Dag & Red draw.....York should win!! ......Oxford win again.
