BB posted this on the old forum,apparently it was on watchdog last night.Also a guy at work filed a claim for Ã‚Â£1200 and apparently got an out of court settlement for Ã‚Â£900.

I got charged £30 by Barclays Bank yesterday for going over my overdraft.

I can only remember having one problem and it wasnt my fault and i got stung twice.Standing order for mortgage on 25th of each month,payment due on last day of each month.But cos of the weekend it never reached the mortgage account til the Ist of March.They whacked me with a £30 late payment fee plus an arrears charge of £50.I eventually got it back,tho i changed my mortgage after.So £80 lost them a £375-000 mortgage.Bastards

the last time I got a bank charge, I rang up and demanded it be reversed as they did not warn me it would be taken out. The women went off the phone for 2 seconds, came back and told it would be reversed immediately yes:.

The handling charge for a bank when you go overdrawn is about 2.50 yet they charge you 30.

No just a letter to tell them how disgusted I am with them that they have done this after i've been with them for over 8 years
