View Full Version : Chelsea Vs Arsenal, Stamford Bridge - 10/12/06 16:00
Will Chelsea close the gap on United or can Arsenal reproduce their Old Trafford heroics and defeat the Blues in their own backyard?

Come on arsenal, i will sit and support arsenal on this one, i really hope they win, it will be hard, but if they focus and dont play henry they can do it
If Chelsea lose here then they'll have a massive mountain to climb if they are to regain the title. But I don't think they will.

Arsenal are henry-less, to be precise, that's when we win most of our matches.
no Gallas, Rosicky doubtful, this seems so bad, but in the ned, i'm dead sure that Arsenal are either going to Win or draw this one.
I was actually hoping for Cole vs. Gallas[in the opposite teams this time]
Come on Arsenal, keep it at 9 points until at least Wednesday next week. They should give Chelscum a good game, they were unlucky last year with Drogba's flooky goal.
0-0 entertaining draw
I really hope we can pull something out of this. Would amaze me if we beat them at there ground, but with all the injuries and suspensions, its looking grim.
Hopefully were still high in confidence and character from last weeks performances.
Stranger things have happened and with the logistics of the league Chelsea are under pressure at the moment
Indeed they have, and from the injuries and suspensions i'm sure Arsenal are going to give it 100% they have to.
toure suspended aswell,i`ll be there in my usual seat.looks like all you reds are sticking together on this 1,whoever thought that would happen,
0-0 entertaining draw
What an Oxymoron
Don't know what that means mate. 0-0 can still be an entertaining game.
Will be a close game, i think we will win 1-0. With Drogba scoring.

hope to watch a good match
need arsenal to be playing like they did against manu & liverpool & not against tottenham & fulham
if they start solid & fluid, then they have a good chance
chelsea know that they cant slip up
I'm just watching the game and Arsenal are playing the better. Quick passing and movement from them. It's been a tight and intense game so far after 5 minutes, Cashley receiving a huge chorus of boos :D

its a good game, chelsea seem to have played the best, but it dont mean they wil win, come on arsenal
it all kicked off a while ago, Drogba went down in the box, then dived when Lehman hardly touched him. Droba then went and pushed Lehmann who went down.
Chelski should of scored a minute ago, a scramble in the 6 yard box.

0-1 to arsenal
that was scary stuff at the end. 1-1 on 85 minutes, incredible goal by essien.
In stoppage time, Essien hit the bar from a yard out and then Lehmann fumbled a shot and Lamaprd hit the post. 8 points clear with Chelsea playing on Wednesday. :D

1-1 draw with a incredible goal by Essien. Lampark had a chance at winning after Lehmann dropped the ball, but all he got was a post!! Great game!!!:D
Nervy stuff, but as an Arsenal fan you can't doubt it that they got a good result out of it. I felt we could have scored after our goal with a chance from Hleb but managed to sky it way over. Arsenal played with alot of character, we held the ball well, created chances and nearly come away with a win. With 4 key players out that was a great performance from the young lads.
I see Drogba was up to his old antics again
Wigan is our next game which is on Wednesday.

your keepers was worse, but i think he was taking the piss lol.
Lehman is a pleb anyway, he makes shocking attacks and it can cause a loss for us but I could easily point out 3 times Drogba dived...
Was a good game had everything dirty tackles, players falling down with the slightest touch and a great goal by essien, fair result in the end but how the fck did Lamps miss that goal at end.

Lol, I had my hands gripped to the sofa at that point!

tempo unbelievable
the ball never stopped
good fair result
thou chelsea hit the cross bar several times
arsenal fought hard,
senderos messed up several times thou,
flamini scored & had a touch of lampard's ball & diverted it to the bar
Lol, I had my hands gripped to the sofa at that point!
I was on the edge of my chair when Lehmann fumbled it, it was as tense for us as it was for Arsenal fans.
Well done Arsenal, some good passing movements but were pegged into their own-half for the last 25 minutes.

I know, the last few minutes were ace. Really exciting. Who was the really tall black guy playing for Arsenal up front. Was it Adebeyor.

yeah it was. I was surprised at how well he was playing, he was more confident on the ball and went on a couple of runs than he has been in previous games.

It was hell of game. The last few minute I was on the edge of my chair, much like Ronaldo. A very exciting finish no less.

Cheers RR :)
The Essien goal is incredible, gets better every time you see it. At the time, i thought the ball had gone wide and I was wondering why Martin Tyler was going mad. I had a bad quality stream ;)

Quite a good game. Some good shots and an excellent goal from Michael Essien.
I thought up untill the final 15 minutes the game was an ordinary boring match with very few chances and had it ben a watford vs reading game then it would have been critisised however cause it was chelsea vs arsenal it was supposedally an intriguing game.
However in the last 15 minutes the game came to life and it was enthralling finish Robben and SWP should have ben introuduced IMO earlier. Despite hitting the wood work 3 times I dont think Chelsea being the home team did enough to win and I thought a draw was a fair result.
The first 75 minutes IMO was a big let down however the final 15 minutes was a fantastic spectacle.
lol said in the papers 'hilario couldn't dominate a pensioners tea party':D
Thats a bit harsh to be fair to the lad he has made one mistake. I stil think that Chelsea need either Carlo or petr back soon as I dont think Chelsea could afford to rely on hillario regularly. I have a feeling he could be similar to Massimo taibi.
What's wrong with Cuducini anyway, or is he just 2nd choice?
We were looking to sign him before we got Van der sar, he was always a quality keeper. I think it's mainly because he hasn't had much match pratice since Cech has come in that he's not as good. Better than Hilario.
The Chelsea fans will come and say that he saved a penalty against Sheffield United which was powerless and straight at him :rolleyes

I won't i'll come in and say he's pretty dodgy, Sheff Utd penalty save was one of his only good points. Against Spuzz and then again on Sunday he looked poor at times!
Carlo was apparently injured not 2nd choice, hopefully he will be back for tomorrows game!
Anyway on the game, until Arse got their goal we really didn't threaten enough, we really need to start with Robben. Mourinho really must notice the difference in play when he's on. But then we suddenly woke up and really got our game together, like i wish we would more often. What a cracking goal from Essien i really thought it was going wide but to then hit the bar was just gutting and with the last chance of the game to hit the post, i actually couldn't believe it. SWP looked terrible on the ball, the complete opposite to Tuesday but you can't blame him really!
