what im saying is that i put points on england when they were at 10/1, does that mean that in the unlikely event of england winning i still get 10/1 return?

yeah, whatever the odds where when you bet, you get them odds. It doesn't matter if I put the odds down to 1/1 you would still get 10/1 odds.
