I am renewing my password as it expired in July. I seen these pictures one of a man wearing a hat and the other of a woman wearing a veil with the face showing.

So you can't wear a hat which only covers the top of you head. But you can wear a top half of a veil which covers the top of the your head and the side of your head. Why is this? Surely its Racism against the hat wearer.

It's all to do with racism. If the woman wasn't allowed to wear it then they'd think it's racist. What I wanna know is that if a woman who wore a veil that covered her whole face and only showed her eyes, would they accept the picture?

Nope, that has a red cross on the passport application. They have to show their face.

Come on. Are you really that bothered that you can't sport a top hat and a monacle in your passport picture while someone can wear a veil?

It is actually very annoying, why can they cover their top part of their head, their ears, yet Average Joe can't wear a hat which only covers the top part of the head.

I honestly find this Very Annoying.

A really worthwhile debate, not!! Anyway the deal with hats and veils is...... When you arrive at the airport, you may, should be asked to remove your headgear, if for religous purposes you would rather not in public a private room will be made available. this applies to bald men who are ashamed as well.

The thing is, why can she wear a Veil which covers the majority of her head, and a average man can't keep a hat on. Its pathetic really, yet a gain the White Heterosexual Mate is discriminated AGAIN!!!

my sisters boyfriend had to provide letters from various the bank, doctors, dentist etc. to prove he had lived in the same place for the last 4 years to get a passport. fucking shocking!

I noticed this as well when renewing...the problem is that it's not just anti-PC people being fussy, there was that terrorist who dressed up as his cousin or sister or something and escaped the country. Something's got to be done.
