View Full Version : Pufter Refs
WHY OH WHY
Pufter Refs... do me wick in. Being an out an out defender, nothing gets me more than refs that dont like physical contact.
What is acceptable and what isnt?!

Well, calling the ref a pufter would almost certainly earn yourself a nice little card - probably of red colour.
Different refs have different tolerance levels. That's a matter of life. Some think strictly in terms of law; contact on player, no contact on ball = foul. Some are more flexible in their approach.
As for your question, there are two types of offence; penal and non penal (penal leading to a direct free kick or penalty kick).
There are 10 penal offences:
1. kicks or attempts to kick an opponent.
2. trips or attempts to trip an opponent
3. jumps at an opponent
4. charges an opponent
5. strikes or attempts to strike an opponent
6. pushes an opponent
7. tackles an opponent to gain possession of the ball, making contact with the opponent before touching the ball.
8. holds an opponent.
9. spits at an opponent
10. handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)..
Of course, physical contact is acceptable provided that you have made contact with the ball before making contact with the player. There are indirect free kicks as well, but we'll go into them later.
Hope that answers your question.
I know what you mean, but as a keeper i get most decisions go my way :nodyes:
But yeah it is harsh on defenders, for example if somebody is alot stronger than there opponent and knocks them over a ref will probably give it to the attacker
Yeah, hate refs that give the advantage to the weaker.
Boooo
so what d you mean? every team apart from man utd????
