Do you think the gap between The Old Firm and the rest of the teams have become larger or smaller? I feel that Hearts and Hibs now both can start challeging for the title if they keep playing the way they do. Hibs just now are fantastic to watch.
What do you think?

i hope so but i just worry its not just another one hit season
The last teams i can remember that stood up to the old firm season after season was aberdeen and dunddee utd of the eighties, since any challengers like hearts seem to fall away the next season

I think the 16 point gap says it all. Hibs may well play good football, but they are still too inconsistent to win the league. And they sell their best players on a regular basis. The Old firm will always have a big and unsurmountable advantage over the other clubs.

But i think that Hibs sell there players to celtic for example (Riordan) whats happened with him??? does he even get on the bench??
To be Fair I dont rate Riordon As much as a striker I see Him more as a left Midfeilder, and look who's in that position ATM, Maloney and Mcgeady Cant really argue with that Although Saying that I would mabe like him given a chance up front with Miller Or Majic, Better than either of them With that Clown Jarosik.

From the news i've heard I think the gap has become very small now, well for thelikes of hibs and hearts. So hopefully one day soon, one of those teams will be able to win the league. Rather than the typical Old Firm clubs of Glasgow Rangers or Glasgow Celtic.

We were absolutly guff in the 90 's infact we almost Folded. Then we were saved By Fergus MCann.

Mabe we thought he would be good enough, TBH he's only been at us for a few months, he may feature In our future Starting 11 who knows.

But thats exactly my point. Teams like Hibs can't sustain a challenge if they are selling their best players. And if their best players can't cut it at Celtic then they don't get a game. A fact of life.

i know what you mean. I know alot of clubs do that because of Finacial Trouble (etc) But it is hard to refuse the OF of a player when the players wants to go and the club are giving a decent ammount of Money. Stevie Thompson was Dundee Uniteds best player at the time. We sold him for £200,000 (And we got Dodds) We selt Dodds to Rangers aswell (when he was playing his best football in his career) then it went doon the pan!
