Saw this on a different forum;
Should prostitution be legalised? Should there be legal brothels? The benefits of this would mean protection for women from rape, assault and sexual exploitation - these would significantly be decreased. Less women would be on the streets dependant on drugs, and generally they'd have a better and safer life.
Some would argue and be adamant with the idea that prostitution is completely immoral, and degrading for a woman to sell herself for sex. Truth is, prostitution will always be around and women are getting raped and assaulted - it's upto us and the government to come to an agreement so that the women are kept safer on the streets.
In a way I do agree. I don't think it would stop people being assaulted and that, but it would cut it down.
What do you think?
If they did legalise it, I'd bet there would be loads of underagers losing their virginity as early as 13. Most of them prostitutes wouldn't care as long as they got the money.

theres a brothel down the road from me. I used to deliver their paper and instead of just posting it I used to knock on the door purposely. The women were unbelievable and they used to come to the door in skimpy underwear :nodyes:

How the hell would legalising prositution stop more people being dependent on drugs? If anything, it's going to increase it cos they know they can legally sell their bodies for drugs.
Plus, I wouldn't like to think in a few years time, I'd be walking my kids down the street and halving to walk round a dirty rotten fishy trout all cos she's allowed to be there. It's rediculous.
Plus, if you legalise prostitution, more women would be "bullied" and forced into being prostitutes - if not for their own drugs and whatever else their dirty little smackhead needs are, then boyfriends or dealers are going to be forcing women into it and there's nothing they can do cos it's all legal.
Plus, there's enough STDs going around this country as it is. As if we need a whole new one developing for disgusting old low life business men with sad pathetic lives to get. GRRR!! Prostitution irritates me :ranting:
If they do legalise it, then they better had get taxed like the rest of us who work hard for our money do, the slags.

It would stop them getting money for drugs because who in their right mind would hire a smack head to work in their brothel. Standing on the street corners would still be illegal.
Also, as it would only be legal in licensed brothels, std's wouldn't be a problem. The pros would be checked every week/month and also the punters would have to bag up.

It's still not the point. It's disgusting and it far from stops any danger happening to the prostitutes... They'd still get smacked around and threatened. As well as that, getting checked every month just isn't good enough. In that time, the dirty little whore could have slept with god knows how many people.
Plus, if smackheads aren't going to be in there, then what's the point in legalising it? They might as well just stop being lazy little bints and go and get a proper job and join the rat race like the rest of us do. What makes them any different?
because they are willing to do it for good money. Look at them in amsterdam. most of them are like supermodels, but they choose to do it because it pays good. Maybe they just like a good fucking by different people all the time.

It's not a good reason to make it legal at all.

That's a different situation. People are losing stuff they've paid for, in this they don't.

Well firstly, I don't like smoking so selling tabs should be banned all together. Even if it does bring loads of money into the country.
And secondly. it's not legal and gives lung cancer and makes your hair and clothes and breath stink :)
so doe ciggies from this country lol. bringing them back from another country is no different.

Well exactly. We have enough of the cancer sticks over here.. Bringing more over here won't help... Though (I'm a hypocrite, I know) I'm bringing come back when I go on holiday cos then it'll pay for my next holiday :icon_redface:
tut tut. personally, I try to keep away from foreign ciggies. I only smoke ones from the shops. If i'm skint though I'll get meself some dodgies.
