Chelsea defender Ashley Cole is gearing himself up for abuse from Arsenal fans on Sunday.

The England international is set to line up against The Gunners for the first time following his acrimonious switch to Stamford Bridge, live on Sky Sports 1.

Cole found himself an unpopular figure at Arsenal prior to his departure after fans felt greed was behind to move away from the North Londoners.

The 25-year-old maintains his side of the story and feels much of the criticism that has come his way has been unmerited.

"I have to be honest with myself. I think I am going to get booed badly," explained Cole to Shoot.

"I am well aware that some fans are very angry. I don't think I did anything wrong, but I know I am never going to win out of this situation.

"Some people are going to agree with what I have done and some are not. But I didn't move for money.

"It was a point of principle, I didn't feel I was wanted. That was the main reason.

"I think I am going to get stick when I go back there. Yet if I stayed at Arsenal I was still likely to get abuse.

"It's never been about the money. For me it's about respect."

Cracking player, can't blame him for moving to Arsenal. IMO He's the best left back in the world.
