They are currently winning at the moment, If they lose and Hull win, then Leeds will be down, Currently Leeds winning 1-0 and Hull are 0-0.

Leeds dicks invade pitch. Players go off. No one knows if game is over yet.

Er, they're back out.

Looks like your relegated because of the goal difference. I take it David Healy isnt the same one that plays for Northern Ireland?

WellingWhiteLUFC
28-04-2007, 16:15
Healy can go, we will do ok without him coz we will get Jermaine Beckford back from Scunthorpe. We WILL be back.

Problems at elland road, match still to finish, just waiting for fans to leave pitch and play to resume. I think the ref should use his head and just end the game, 20 seconds or so won't change the result.

Are they still on the pitch, they must have been on for nearly 25 min now.

have no idea, maybe he felt sorry for us and thought we would score, what a joke. Never mind as I will be going to more away matches next year as tickets wil be cheap. We just have to come back.

Well we ain't gonna beat Derby 9-0 so yeah, goodbye to the Championship from Leeds United.

Not sure how I feel atm, numb more than anything I guess, no-one can say we haven't put up a fight these last few months but unfortunately Wise and Poyet weren't able to turn it round quick enough.

No doubt they'll get a fair bit of stick from some of our more moronic supporters (and I'll get to them in a minute), but they shouldn't do considering what they had to work with when they first came. A squad completely shot in terms of fitness, morale, form and confidence, player unrest, no money whatsoever, and for us to have made it still technically to the last day of the season without officially being relegated is quite remarkable when you think about it. They've brought some great players in, some have been amazing (Gray, Lubo, Kishishev), some have been unfortunate with injuries (Thompson, Flo), yeah some haven't been great but that's gonna happen with any manager. If both Wise and Poyet aren't allowed to continue next season it's a travesty.

So yeah, nowt to do with Wise and Poyet, it was our form at the start of the season (even stretching back to the end of last season) that killed us, particularly the 5 games where Carver took charge (5-1 to Luton FFS).

As for the scenes that interrupted the end of the game today, I'm sorry but I'm ashamed to be associated with the same club as the idiots that invaded the pitch before the game had even finished. There was even fighting between those who invaded and those who stayed where they were FFS! As if we weren't enough of a laughing stock already!

Oh well, f**k it, Wendy4life can have his little moment of glory, we'll be back where we belong before you know it, and we can take great satisfaction in the knowledge that even in League 1 the name Leeds United will still reverberate longer and louder than any other club in Yorkshire.

MARCHING ON TOGETHER

Do you think you will be able to come straight back up? Its will be very hard, you have no money and the player whom play for you now will probably go to bigger clubs as they always seem to. I dunno if you will come straight back up.

I want you to as I don't mind Leeds at all. Obviously when you were in the prem I always wanted you to lose to the other teams but now you will be playing against Hartlepool!!!

Football is mad!!

I really couldn't say, at least until I've got a better idea of who's gonna be with us at the start of next season.

The good thing is the last of the R******e contracts end this summer, so hopefully there'll be a bit more leway when it comes to funds.

We've already seen what Wise can do on a limited budget, bringing in players like Lubo, Kishishev and Gray, and given a full pre-season with the squad I think he'll do great things next season.

Man City went down to League 1 and straight back up again, there's no reason we can't do the same.

I'm not saying that there is no way you will come back up. I just think it will be very hard. It just sounds as it you think you will come back up to the Championship really easy and I doubt that will be the case.

I hate relegation :( Leeds remind me of Pools... Up top giving it their all one season, and the next they're lamping it right down with a thud. Glad that Southend will be joining us in League 1 again though as I have a weird disliking for them :nodyes:

Not saying that at all, it would be naive of me to think so, especially considering what's happened with Forest. I just think that if we can keep hold of a good number of the players we have now, and given the obvious pulling power of our name, we'll have a good chance of finishing well next season.

On that note I hope Wise decides to bring Beckford back and hang on to him, been ace for Scunny this season.

I think Pools, Leeds, and Wasall will finish top of League 1 next season like. Not in that order though, well, maybe that order lol.

No actually, I just think we'll get a really good play off place, same with Leeds. Not sure about Walsall, probably the same.

God I talk shite

see thee later- a lot later, say 20-30 years time (when you're somewhere near the top flight again)

and pulling power, we got players from under your noses as a league 1 club- if we were feeling really mean we could do the same on a larger scale now. or, we could force southend into making a bid for beckford by buying billy sharpe, and in your situation it would probably be accepted

ah well- at least now there is no possible way for leeds to claim to be yorkshires biggest club. i think i can hear league four calling............. it's for you, they say they'll see you next year
