There is/has been criticism of him all season but he has scored 23 goals this season, some of which have been important, with games to go. He has also been contirbuting to the team with his work rate and 16 assists.

People say he has had a bad season but the stats don't lie.

He could have had a better season. I think the fact that Scholes, Giggs and especially Ronaldo have been superb, that people have been focussing on them and forgetting about Rooney. In all honesty though, Rooney has had some pretty quiet and poor games. I still think he's been a massive difference for United though.

I agree with you there. Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo have and are overshadowing Rooney this season. However, he has had some great contributions. Some quite important, like the winning goal against Milan.

I think that his inability (or what-ever-it-is) to transfer his club form to the national team is main concern/criticism of most people.

I agree with you, it is very frustrating when you see him week in for Utd and then when he's for England he's a completely different player (in a bad way)

I think when he was suspended in August that played a factor in his poor form, now he's back to his best.

Come off it, if Rooney's a poor player, were going to win the league.

The whole of City's team have 10 goals at home. Rooneys more than that twice over on his own.

I think he has been brilliant all season. although maybe he has been overshadowed by even better players.
