Also, who do you think they will sign now there in the big time?

I don't think Gretna will be anything like Bolton. They don't have much cash albeit enough to compete with the rest of the dross in the bottom half of the SPL. I think they might survive by the skin of thier teeth.

hmm i'm not sure they showed how good they were mixing it with the big boys in the scottish cup when they got to the final.

I think you're underestimating them. Their owner has some money. I don't think they'll be fighting for a top spot, but i don't believe they'll be in relegation trouble. I think they'll start off bright and fade as the season goes on. I think they'll be able to sign the lesser players. Wigan and Reading had relatively bright first seasons, i realize it's a different league, but i would compare Gretna to Wigan.

They probably did do well in that final, but that was last season. (or if were to be all correct, 2 seasons ago, just)
They got knocked out the same competition this year by Hibs 6-2 and in got knocked out by a bunch of part timers in the UEFA cup (Derry) 4-0 at home.

At that time though Dery were on there wonder streak with the manager that left and went to Dunfermline if im correct.

I think they will do ok. Doubt they will be relegated give them a couple of seasons in the top flight.

i see them fighting for the 3rd place and in about 3-4 season the will take it like Rangers and Celtic almost own the top 2 places

Well I don't know about this. Hoe come they have been doing so well the last few years. Is money involved? Who are they sharing their ground with? If money wasn't involved with their current success then I think it will take a lot longer for them to get to the top half of the league as you need very good players in any one of the top leagues.

When I mean top league I mean the highest league you can get too in your country.

I can't see that at all. Gretna rely wholly on MB's cash. The Motherwell ground share will cost them and what happens when MB's cash drys up? Gretna have done well to get this far but they'll end up like Livingston. Back in the first division.

Gretna don't have the fan base to compete for anymore than a season or two unless people from surrounding areas begin supporting them. Their average homew attendance is about 1000 and they only take 100 to away games. Once the chairmans money dries up it will be the end of them I feel. The population of Gretna is only about 2000 so I can't see where any money will come from. It hurts me to say it because I would love to see them doing well.

i personally think they will get relegated as i dont think they
have the resources or fanbase to sustain any sort of threat, as for derry city like a number of clubs in the eircome league they are a full time club now who held paris saint germaine to a credible draw at the brandywell and were unlucky to be knocked out in the return leg in paris.

Just look how many went to the Scottish Cup final!

There's a difference. They were all glory hunters. The same thing happened with Dunfermline. They have an average attendance of something like 9000 then when it comes to a final they all come out the woodwork. I hate that. You should go watch your team whether they play bad or not.
