Here is something you can talk about poolie

Pools manager suffers title blues
Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson admitted to feeling a bit flat after seeing his side miss out on the League Two title.

Pools were beaten 2-1 by Bristol Rovers, meaning they were pipped to the championship by Walsall.

"It was a bit of an anti-climax," Wilson said. "We possibly had the worst run we've had all season in the last four of five games.

"But take away that disappointment and it's been a great season. We'll go for it again next season in League One."

Haha, fair comment Westboy...

I understand what he's saying though. It is guttering to have the top spot for two months, and have a great unbeaten run for so long, to grab a spot in League 1 and suddenly let it all tumble.

I said promotion wasn't enough, cos it's just history repeating itself all over again, and I still don't think that it was enough. After the amazing season we've had, I was disappointed to see the results slowly degrade after we'd grabbed a League 1 place.

Wilson definitely deserves a good recognision in all of this though. I believe if we still had a disasterous manager like Martin Scott like we had done the beginning of last season, we'd have finished just below play offs. Wilson is an incredible manager, and reminds me of the amazing manager we used to have, Neale Cooper. It's because of him and the fantastic team work that we're now a League 1 team again. We've just got to keep it up this time and don't let it slip.

Danny Wilson is a great manager and I personally think they'll finish in the top half. As I've said many times there's not much difference in quality between l1 and l2

I think Stockport are more disapointed by this. If pool had won then they would have been in playoffs. They beat Darlington 5 0 away for nothing. My mate wasnt very impressed.

Lol I know, I found that rather funny :nodyes: but at least they did us a favour in kicking Darlo's arses one last time before we head off into the league beyond...

And I think we will do well. The only reason we got relegated last season was because we had five midfielders out long term, two strikers out long term, we'd just lost Westwood to Walsall, and Nelson and Westwood made the perfect defence, and with the crap manager that is Martin Scott, he didn't prepare the team well enough and with Nelson's skills, Martin Scott should have been able to sort out a good defence partner for him, which he failed to do.

Bring on League 1 Playoffs ROAR!! Lol :nodyes:

I think you will do fine in League 1.

Each season is a new start.

Well of course we will. We have a better team this season and a better manager. We've had minimum injuries this season too.

I mean, for the two seasons before we got relegated, we got in the playoffs and the playoff finals. Can't exactly say we did bad in that league can you.
