Seeing some players bugger off soon after their team has been relegated makes me wonder what they value. It seems some players are at a club for years and years - both in Premiership and Coca Cola leagues, whereas others bugger off as soon as they possibly can and are barely at one club long enough to be established as a team member.

What do the players of a team really value?

Money? The club? Their team mates? Their fans? Maybe even their home town (if it's a home town club)...

Personally, I'd say the smaller team players value their home town and their club more. Mainly because in smaller teams, the players are not recognised for skill to be in higher leagues and so don't always necessarily get better offers to be given the option of money or their club.

What would you say? No doubt Leeds fans should have a thought on this one.

half of them would say the fans, but some say the passion of the team, but i think maybe they like the challenge, not the money (apart from beckham).

I'd say they like a challenge too, but you can't deny that if a team is offering a player more money, that more often than not, they won't refuse.

Nah its all about the money.. they will go to who ever offers them the most..you will get the odd player every now and again, who will be loyal to their club
