As always we will be linked with a few players.

Hargreaves, Torres, Bale are set to be prime targets with the Glazers £50m transfer kitty! We will definately need another striker, maybe a backup right-back and a midfielder. If we do get Hargreaves I'm not sure who we would drop, do we really want to unsettle Scholes and carrick's partnership?

So, who do you think we will get this summer?

The price is gonna be high for him. In all honestly I cant see where we'd play him. I wouldnt like to have 1 up top with 5 in midfield.

nah i dont like that formation..it wouldnt work in our system. rooney plays off the attacker, Ronaldo/Giggs isnt a striker. Scholes adapts a more defensive role these days, so that wouldnt be him. If we got Hargreaves we'd have to fook around with the team. Huntelaar has also been linked, he is a striker who has done very well this season

I've heard the Eto'o rumours, they say hes had a few bust-ups with Frank Riijkard

I think bayern have pretty much ruined his chances of a move by sticking such a high price tag on him. Hes a good player but worth no more than £10m. Even Ronalso was only £12m or something like that.

we wont get him and we dont want him. our targets up front will be torres, huntelaar, d.bent (?) or eto'o. All are better and fitter than Owen.

I think Freddy Shephard is right that none of the big four want him because of his injury problems.

I think United could do worse than Defoe, even if he's as a rotation player however chelsea are more in need of a striker and defoe would probably prefer to go there give it's London and he'll get paid more, most likely.
