Manager of the Year

Who has been your manager of the year in English (or any other nation) fooball. For me the candidates are:

Sir Alex Ferguson
Steve Coppell
Roy Keane
Ian Adkins
Danny Wilson
Richard Money
Paul Ince

For me it's Incy, Mac were 12 points adrift when he took over, and they finished two points clear of relegation! Ferguson's had a great season with United and raised the bar in terms of quality. Roy Keane's turnaround with Sunderland has been remarkable and Ian Adkins, Scunthorpes physio has obviously had a great season with Scunthorpe.

Who's yours?

Keane's done a great job but the only reason they were bottom was because Quinn fucked the club up as a manager, rather than it being an awful situation.

Done. Four have Man Utd connections, and probably the top four too.

I'd say Keano, he took over without much resources to use and took them from relegation threatened to Champions. He made some quality signings when he came which helped them.

i'm going for a forgotten man- see, when keane went to sunderland they had longer to sort themselves out, and more money to spend than when laws came to wednesday. when keane went to sunderland, they were actually in a better position than when laws came to wednesday. keane spent money at sunderland and took them to the title, well done. laws sold 2 players, bought one, took us on the best run we've had in my lifetime (3 off the most consecutive wins in the clubs history), and finished in our highest league position for 7 years (not only that, but only our second top half finish in any league for around 10). to go from being the worst attacking outfit in england to one of the best in little over 6 months takes some doing. for me- it's our very own brian laws

first i like the thread

but who are these
Ian Adkins
Danny Wilson
Richard Money

I am not very familiar with non EPL clubs
Coppell has had a great season, but Fergie outdid himself mainly becoz of form of his players, but he needs to deepen his squad next season, the bench is no where near chelsea, or even arsenal
I have to say I like Sam Allarcdye, & if he does get the newcastle job, i would be interested in seeing what he can do with better & more skilled set of players
newcaslte have the core players like parker, given , solano, owen, the new ameican defender, & milner

Simon Graysons done a good job at Blackpool.. specially for someone who is relatively unknown. But aye, Keano and Ince have both dones great jobs at Sunderland/Macclesfield.
