Premiership club Middlesbrough have confirmed they are holding talks with Hibernian over midfielder Scott Brown. Middlesbrough chief executive Keith Lamb told BBC Scotland discussions were being held, but stressed no fee had been agreed between the two clubs.
Lamb said further talks were planned when Hibs had completed their season.
Brown, 21, has been attracting interest from a host of clubs north and south of the border, including Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers.
The Scotland international had a transfer request rejected by Hibs in December, but Hibs boss John Collins indicated he expected Brown to leave in the summer.
Premiership side Charlton had a £3m bid for Brown and Kevin Thomson rejected earlier this season.
Thomson eventually sealed a £2m switch to Rangers and he urged Brown to join him at Ibrox.
I don't really know anything about him. At least we are jumping straight in with transfers though and not leaving it til the last few days.
Maybe some scots can give an insight into what he is like?
