In the digital world, companies are often saying that piracy is is amounting to massive losses in the Software and Music industries etc.

But How?

As an example, I have Photoshop CS 2 on my pc that I downloaded. Has this cost Adobe because I have downloaded it? Not at all.

Photoshop costs roughly Â£320 to buy legally. So how has me downloading it, not cost Adobe? This is why. Because I would never purchase it in the first place.

So if people are only downloading things that they wouldn't buy in the first place costing the Industiries Millions of pounds?
